Food with Flair

I have a few little goodies for you this Tips, Tricks and Treats Tuesday.  While sifting around the W.W.W.  I ran into some enticing ideas for spiffing up your dining room table presentation and, with Easter hippity-hopping on it's way, this might be the perfect opportunity to try out some garnishes.

The apple swan seems, to me, to be the most difficult to accomplish although it should be easier if you have a sharp knife, so no worries.

If you still think that taking the "swan dive" into this embellishment is too tricky for you, then continue reading because I found a few others

that should be easy to do as long as you can handle a paring knife!

The next video is for Radish Roses which seems pretty simple, but make sure you leave time for these because even though they're easy-peasy cutting-wise, they have to sit in ice water overnight according to Suzy Homemaker (not her real name but she looks like a person that should be named that).  It seems like it'll be worth the wait, though, as Suzy's roses bloomed  adorably in the icy fridge water.

The last of the food flourishes is my favorite, the Cool Mushroom.  Maybe it's because I love mushrooms or it could be because it seems to be super easy to prepare.  Whatever the case, I'm pretty curious to find out if I can make these look as nifty-keeno-wow as they appear in the presentation.

So go ahead and try one or more of these fun and festive garnishes this Easter or throw caution in the wind and make them for lunch.  Whatever you decide, you're sure to "garnish" your reputation as a Chef Extraordinaire
