Last minute ideas for Easter

Elegant and easy just like me :)

As we are rapidly approaching Easter I thought it'd be helpful to emphasize the holiday for this Tips, Tricks and Treats Tuesday.

I found this on Pinterest (my fun and relaxation refuge) and it's obviously ridiculously easy to put together.  The hurricane glass holder is quaint, but I'm sure you could pull this off with any larger, clear glass container you have around the house.  For the greens instead of the ones pictured (you'd have to get those at a florist, I believe) you could use any pretty green leaves you might find outside if there are any!  Or, you could use fake greens, Spanish moss or even the "grass" used in Easter Baskets.  The eggs should be the easiest part...either use some fakies in the wide array

My fave way of dying eggs
available at your local store or use the real-deal dyed type, but with the latter beware of leaving them unfridged if you plan on eating them!

Speaking of Easter Eggs, I'll share my fairly quick and easy way we do our eggs.  I found this in a magazine years ago and we've been doing them this way almost every year since.  I found the instructions online and I'll share the link if you'd like to investigate further though it's pretty much done the way you see in the pic.  All you need is water, vinegar, food coloring, paper towels and aluminum foil...oh, and hard boiled eggs!  Here's the link...

Cutey-patooty treats

An easy last minute treat, especially for the kiddies, are these No-Bake Chocolate Egg Nest Cookies.  I think whomever named these was a bit confused about what a cookie is, but that's okay because they're adorable.  These are also simple to make and no baking required so that's a plus time-wise.  Here's the link if you'd like to take a crack at these pretties....

I have made treats similar to these and they were good but the added Peep supplies just the right touch, I believe!

I hope that these speedy ideas will help you in your last minute details for the upcoming festivities and I'm sure I'll use some myself!
