Baby it's cold outside!

Well, apparently we're in the midst of another cold snap which by definition means "a sudden, relatively brief period of cold weather".  In the middle of it this cold "snap" it's not feeling particularly brief. And I wonder where the term "cold snap" came from in the first place...maybe from things snapping off of you from the frigid temps?  However I'm sure it simply conveys a quick time period.  Whatever it's beginnings as a phrase, it's surely not a "snap" to go through!  The video here was sung by one of my new favorite singers, Dean Martin and accompanied
by Martina McBride which was an interesting accomplishment as it was recorded in 2006 and Dean passed away in 1995.  An unconventional pairing, but it's the version I prefer best. To me it's a comforting song because even though it's cold outside, the subjects are warm and cozy inside.  I'm declaring today a Mesmerizing Medium Monday, so I'll add a few more tidbits for you to view if you so desire.  Here's a "interesting" selection that I can say I never heard before...kind of  Captain Obvious in the lyrics but it's still pretty fun.
Next up is another song I cannot recall hearing, by the Rolling Stones.  It's a pretty nice one and I don't know why it's not played on the radio, especially at this time of year!
And finally yet another number I'm sure I've never listened to and, because the group is one of those at the top of my "All Time Best" playlist, I'm super-surprised I haven't.  This piece is by Queen and sung by Mr. Velvet Voice, Freddie Mercury...oooo, I adore how he sings!  This selection is actually another that exudes comfort in living with our winter weather, which is actually how I try and live it out.  I hope you can try and stick out these last few weeks of Winter and find some relief and perhaps a bit of fun while doing so...listening to some good songs may help!
