Didja Know?

Did you know that the Andy Griffith show's theme song was titled "The Fishin' Hole" or that it actually has lyrics?  I sure didn't.  Hubster and I have been watching a lot of Andy and Barn lately as we don't watch a bunch of the regular fair that's available over the airwaves.  You may giggle and call us archaic or cheap (the latter is the best choice), but we don't have cable.  However, the world still continues to revolve despite this fact!  Oh, and make sure to click on the READ MORE tab in the lower left corner (I've just learned how to use a jump break) as there's much more to see!

We do subscribe to Netflix, hence all this Mayberry Madness.  If you have the opportunity, catch some episodes of The AGS as it's, if you didn't know, such a soothing show.  Now I don't mean to say that I think it's soothing/dull/boring.  I mean it in the sense that it's a kind of comforting balm for your soul after dealing with a day of busyness and stress.  It makes me smile and many times bust a gawf, especially when Barney Fife is in the episode.  Now back to the lyrics of the theme song.  I found a clip of Andy Griffith singing the whole song...here it is.

So there ya go!  You probably learned something new today.  I know I did!  And now I leave you with a classic Barney-ism...not an exact quote but pretty close to the original.  Ah, I just love Barn :)
