The Lady is not a Tramp

It's W/E Wednesday so I'm just gonna talk about whatever I'm thinking is cool at this moment and that would be Lady Gaga.  Not too long ago I wouldn't have believed I'd be this interested in The Lady G, but I was more than thoroughly impressed with her performance at the Oscar's this past Sunday.  I actually didn't watch on Sunday but I caught some snippets of it on the news the next day and hitched on the ol' YTube to view the whole production and I thought it was incredible. The more I catch of her, the further engrossed I become.  I've loved the Sound of Music ever since I saw it in the movie theater when I was a little girl and came out singing...poor Mom!  So, when I heard the

Lady Gaga and her infamous Meat Dress
news that she covered the music that I have cherished memories of, I wondered if she tortured it or not.  As I stated before I was much more than pleasantly surprised at her rendition. In my opinion, she didn't just simply put on a nice performance, she hooked it to the wall and tied it up with a meat bow :)  In other words it was spectacular!

I frankly thought she was going to be a flash in the pan kind of act.  But I must admit I give someone bonus points for creativity and The Lady's Meat Dress did get me to give her a second, third, fourth look!  I also admire her for being a pretty smart cookie...all those crazy outfits did get her tons more coverage in the media which made you give her a close gander.

I suppose what made me give G a more serious consideration was when I heard her perform with Tony Bennett.  She was still the Lady Gaga of her beginnings (at least as far back as I have noticed her) but more Old Hollywood Glam which suits her beautifully.  It's like she was this odd but pretty caterpillar that has now metamorphosed into an odd but beautiful butterfly.  Wow, I guess I'm a lot more taken with Lady Gaga than I realized...I'm gushing!  Well, before I totally spurt I'll end with the first Lady G song that I favored for the musicality (content not so much!).  I'll give you a hhhhhhhhint now...:)
