Oh, My Dear!
My Hero! |
It's once again Thoughtful/Thankful Thursday and I was contemplating what my blatherings would be about when my eyes scanned up to my comp's bookmarks bar and I spied my answer. Earlier I was looking up a comic strip called "Pickles" by Brian Crane and is one of my favorites as the older couple, who are the featured characters, reminds me of me and the Hubster. I was searching for the
cartoon above as this is a scenario that's likely to happen in our home and, in another form or other, already has. This is what I've been living with for 30-ish years so far and I wouldn't have it any other way. Call me crazy...others have behind my back, I'm sure, and to my face for that matter...but that Weird Philosophy is true. I suppose it's because the weirdness makes you laugh and being able to chuckle with each other (and at times, at each other but with a lot 'o love mixed in) helps to wash away all the grub and grim the world flings at you.
The Boy and I have been through some ups and downs that would make the world's scariest roller-coaster ride pale in comparison. And even though at times I've wanted to use the T.V. remote to pause and mute him (and I know he's felt the same about me!), I know (Corny Alert!) that he was sent to me from our Maker and I'm thankful each day of weirdness we have together.
Perhaps they're those out there, and I'm sure there is, that can relate to the Weird Love relationship and are just as thankful for that funny-bunny-hunny you have. Just give 'em a pinch and smooch so they know you still, for some crazy reason, think they're the grooviest.

So open those jam jars, He-men and grab your cameras, ladies and get ready for another thrill ride...wheeeeee!
